Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds the Honorary Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She has been widely recognized for her pioneering work in studying witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory within legal contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific author who has received several prizes and grants. She has provided consulting on research and policy to many agencies and departments from all over the world. She serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She's a member of numerous professional organizations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the president of America Psychological Association's divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policies and Practice.
